Put the fixed commitments on the calendar
A job start, a booked mover, and another home's availability may carry different levels of flexibility. Label which dates are firm and which are preferred. Explain why a date matters instead of relying on a general request to close fast.
Add the decisions that come before those dates
Packing, agreeing on terms, property review, signing, and possession do not all happen at once. Identify what you still need to arrange and ask what the buyer and closing professional would require. The sequence matters as much as its final day.
Separate closing, funds, and moving out
Do not assume these are interchangeable events. Confirm the relevant closing and disbursement process before relying on proceeds. Discuss possession expressly, including any request for a different move-out arrangement, and put agreed terms in writing.
Choose where flexibility would help most
If every preferred date cannot align, identify which part of the plan can change. You may care more about a manageable handover than the earliest closing. Compare proposals using that priority along with price and outstanding conditions.
